Xeriscaping:

In the arid southwest, water conservation is beginning to play a huge role in landscape design.  Bill’s Landscaping Inc. is a leader in the Antelope Valley for drought tolerant landscaping and the winner of the Xeriscape Award from the CLCA (CA Landscape Contractors Association) High Desert Chapter.

The concept of "Xeriscape" was introduced in Denver, Colorado, in response to water shortages.  Xeriscape refers to a landscape that uses little supplemental water. It does not refer to a dry, barren landscape.  Xeriscapes can be full of color, fragrance, be attractive to birds and butterflies, be easy to maintain, and most of all… use less water.

Benefits

Save Water -  Xeriscape can reduce landscape water use by 50 - 75% over having a “lawn only” landscape.
Less Maintenance - Aside from occasional pruning and weeding, maintenance is minimal and watering requirements are low.
No Fertilizers or Pesticides -. Using plants native to your area will eliminate the need for chemical supplements.
Improves Property Value - A good Xeriscape can raise property values which more than offset the cost of installation. Protect your landscaping investment by drought-proofing it.
Pollution Free - Fossil fuel consumption from gas mowers is minimized or eliminated with minimal turf areas.
Provides Wildlife Habitat - Use of native plants, shrubs and trees offer a familiar and varied habitat for local wildlife.

We use the highest quality materials and plants available.  A wide variety of possibilities exist when planning your hardscape and softscape areas.  We understand the differences in materials, plants, soils and site conditions, and will help you understand the relationship each of these items will have on the longevity and performance of your new project.
